Seasonal ideas

AUTUMN DAYS

It’s that magical time of year again – AUTUMN, where the leaves start to fall, the temperatures start to lower, the nights draw in and we start to slowly wind our way through some of the year’s biggest celebrations:

HALLOWEEN - BONFIRE NIGHT - CHRISTMAS

The ‘ber’ months are jam packed with lots of feel-good fun for all.

Here’s a whole host of all things ‘autumn’ taking place in and around Tamworth to fill this year’s build up to Christmas with.

CASTLE GROUNDS AND PLAYPARK

If you have little companions, then the play area is always a good idea. It is FREE.

Don’t let the weather halt your fun – just wrap up warm and top tip – bring an old rag or towel to dry off the equipment if it is a little dewy or wet at this time of year.

Within the Castle Grounds there are also lovely walks, ideal for pushchairs and wheelchairs alike. As they, it isn’t bad weather, it is bad clothing. So dress for the season and enjoy.

PARK RUN

Autumn colours and running amongst them sounds fabulous. Tamworth Castle Grounds Park Run is ideal for those runners of all abilities and all ages.

Don’t be put off by the word ‘run’ – park run is for everyone – dog walkers, parents with prams. You can walk the route too with a coffee in hand. It is all FREE as well.

Park Run provides a great community of people to enjoy some movement with for mind and body.

TAKE TO THE STAGE

We strongly recommend taking a look at Tamworth Assembly Rooms ‘What’s On’ section so you can see for yourself. There really is something for everyone. Check out the website: Tamworth Assembly Rooms

There is something truly special about live theatre and music at this time of year – especially as we hit that Christmsa countdown. So check it out.

The Claymore Lounge is also serving up some yummy treats – so don’t forget to check out the menu. You can also pre-order your interval drinks to save that queue time. Keep your eye our for yummy seasonal autumnal and festive dishes and drinks.

Look out for their newly revived Tea Dances too! A great way to connect with old friends and build new ones – and a great rainy and cooler weather opportunity.

Or click on one of the following links if you are currently on your device: direct link to app on Google Play storedirect link to app on Apple app store. Then install the app onto your device (make sure to do this over a secure Wifi connection for a fast download)

HEAD INTO NATURE

We are a tad spoilt in Tamworth for some seriously pretty nature spots – we just want to keep them that way; so we kindly ask you take all litter home with you to keep these precious spaces safe for our plants, wildlife and animals, but also pleasant for other visitors too.

With 14 nature spots to choose from, there is plenty of options for a breath of fresh air. As always just please respect the nature and wildlife, and take any litter home with you to recycle properly. Thank you.

We recommend wrapping up warm and wearing sensible shoes for wet and boggy land at this time of year.
